SDS Global Logistics, Inc. Names Billy Roach as VP of Business Development
Long Island City, NY, January 22, 2008 - SDS Global Logistics, Inc. (SDS), a full service transportation provider headquartered in New York, today announced William "Billy" Roach as the new Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Roach will be responsible for developing new business lines and clients within those lines for the company.
Billy has had a distinguished career in the transportation industry in both operations and business development. He attended Northeastern University and began his career in the transportation industry in 1987, where he first worked for Continental Airlines at Logan Airport in Boston. He then spent 5 years at the company's Newark hub overseeing the express operation before moving to Continental's Headquarters in Houston where he was directly responsible for Continental's QUICKPAK® product globally. Billy spent the last 18 months as a Principal and Executive Vice President of Aeropoint Security Enterprises in Boston.
Mr. Roach will report directly to SDS President and CEO, Tony Racioppo. He will work closely with the existing sales team but will be focused on developing new revenue streams. Of the hire, Mr. Racioppo noted that "SDS is fortunate to be able to gain the services of an individual with the character, experience and relationship building skills of Billy. This strategic hire will help foster the efforts of Len Froio, our VP of sales and we anticipate that it will help bring SDS to the next level." Bill has a wife, Tracy, and 3 girls, Jordan, Paige, and Olivia. Bill has also competed on a national level in the Martial Arts.
