SDS Delivers Cake for Presidential Inauguration
WASHINGTON, DCSylvia Weinstock, widely considered one of the world's premier cake makers and named as InStyle Magazines' New York Cake Diva, has prepared cakes for some of the most prestigious events in the world. But even for Mrs. Weinstock, preparing the cake for BET's Inaugural Ball in January was extraordinary. The event was held on inauguration day and ran throughout the night. The cake was one of the highlights of the event. I wanted something tall and grand to show that Obama had arrived, said the New York-based cake designer.When Sylvia needed to make the delivery for this once in a lifetime event, she called on SDS to make it happen. SDS works closely with her on a regular basis to ensure that her cakes move with great care.
Most recently, SDS teamed with Mrs. Weinstock to transport one of her masterpieces to Athens, Greece. Sylvia was extremely pleased that the cake arrived in perfect condition.
