SDS CEO Appointed to the National Postal Customer Council Advisory Board
Dallas, Texas, September 20, 2006- Tony Racioppo, President and CEO of SDS Global Logistics, Inc., was appointed to the National Postal Customer Council Advisory Board during Postmaster General Jack Potter’s live satellite broadcast speech on National PCC Day. The speech, which directly reached over 15,000 people, was highlighted by the board announcements and the annual awards recognizing the various PCC Chapters around the country and their importance as of one of the most critical and influential organizations associated with the United States Postal Service. Mr. Racioppo was one of only two new industry appointees, on a board that carries only four industry representatives.
The selection was primarily the result of Mr. Racioppo’s active association with the Greater New York PCC, where he has been an integral member for more than 10 years and where he has served as the Industry Co-chair since 2005 and where he served as Treasurer from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Racioppo’s professional activities extend to several other organizations including the Messenger Courier Association of the Americas, where he currently serves as the Immediate Past President, the Long Island City Business Development Corporation and the New York State Movers & Warehousemen’s Association.
In addition to announcing the board selections, the Postmaster General announced numerous annual awards, recognizing the most active chapters of the National PCC. The Greater New York PCC was winners of three distinguished awards, the most of any chapter.
